Cyclists should not be allowed/encouraged through the pedestrian area of town as this will be detrimental to pedestrian users causing anxiety and fear to pedestrians and possible loss of custom to Congleton town centre. Town centre pedestrians cover a wide range of ages and abilities and town should be a safe place for shopping and enable social distancing. Make Mountbatten Way more cycle friendly instead of sending cyclists into the town centre. Is this the solution to Mountbatten Way being dangerous for cyclists.
