Over lockdown the landowner put up fences to narrow the footpath and block gaps into Prince's Wood. This is an ex-colliery railway and should be a lot wider than the space left by the fences - just like the rest of the incline. It also fenced off the accessible access making it impossible for push chairs, wheelchairs etc (despite accessible gates all the rest of the way along). Presumably done to try and stop cyclists as there are new 'no cycling' signs. But what purpose does stopping cycling serve? It seems the landowner is determined to make this popular route much less accessible to the general public.
