This road is wide enough for a shared cycle and pedestrian path from Asfordby Hill to Norman Way. This can be linked to other cycle paths to provide a safe route across Melton Mowbray to safer rural roads. The old railway embankment could be used as a traffic free link this to Nottingham Road next to Sainsbury's
