UPDATE 14 Oct 2017 #a556 #b5569 See #94537 and #94538 It's disappointing that Highways England do not know how to build a country road that prioritises vulnerable road users (on a road that is parallel to a new road that definitively prioritises drivers) Drivers are already encroaching on pavement and cycle track they would not have dared to park here before on A556. twitter.com/tom_a_jeffs/status/919247573453606912 Cheshire East Rostherne near Tatton Park. An alternative and quicker route.Cycling route is via the recently constructed bridge over the new A556 road at Millington Lane and the Bollin footbridge at the Swan with two Nicks and takes only 22 mins.

This new route is 10 mins quicker than the route recommended before the new road construction.

NB There are signs saying the bridge/road will be shut from 31 July for 2 weeks.
