A pedestrian crossing point is required to cross the A50 with a build-out to improve pedestrian visibility when crossing this busy main road. This measure would assist safety for users walking between Church Lawton and Lawton Heath.

A crossing point with central pedestrian refuge on the town side of Edwards Way is necessary as this is the main walking route to the town centre, schools and other amenities.

Zebra crossing with lollipop person required. The school children need help to cross the busy road.

Block off through access for cars via Coare street. Prevents it being used as a rat run so would be safer for cycling.

Buxton Old Road would become MUCH safer if it were turned into a one-way road (going up). It is too narrow for 2-way traffic in places, is national speed limit and contains blind bends/summits. Residents at the bottom can exit using … [more]

This is a great place to walk, run and cycle but the lane is narrow and has blind bends in some places with no verges. During the lock down it has become exceptionally popular. The request is to close the lane to motor vehicles on Sundays.

Residents complain of rat run. Install filter, don’t call it closure as road will still be accessible by car via other entries

One way system closed to motor vehicles (except deliveries) to allow pedestrianised town centre.

Close Sandbach Town centre on Saturdays when town is busier and market takes place. Closure between those three points: junction Old Mill Road/High Street'; firestation; 'glasshouse' roundabout

Walfield Avenue is used as a rat run, closure required to make this a low traffic neighbourhood.

This is designated a footpath but it was a railway line and has a hard packed gravel surface. Been used for years by kids and families but now some muppet has put a no cycling sign on the gate. Change designation of the inclines to … [more]

Mill Lane is a really useful and well-used east-west cycle route, connecting Alderley Edge to Adlington and up towards Middlewood Way, but it’s also basically just an awful rat-run cut-through for people trying to skip a bit of the B5358. … [more]

Consider daytime pedestrianisation. Footways too narrow. Car dominated road.

Closing Pine Road to motor vehicles would remove a rat run along narrow roads, and make a nice filtered neighbourhood. Drivers can use Waterloo Road or Park Lane instead.

Oak Grove can become a rat run when Chester Road is backed up. I suggest closing Burton Drive to motor vehicles here to create a nice filtered neighbourhood.

Hollinwood Road is narrow with no pavements, constantly used by pedestrians and cyclists but also a rat run off the A6. It could be closed to through motor traffic near the allotments here to make it safe with turning spaces on each side.

Closing Clifford Road here to motor vehicles could create a nice filtered neighbourhood. Currently it is a rat run.

Can it be no right turn from the A6 onto Jacksons Edge Road. This would mean less conflict and queues wouldn't stretch so far back that they start to run alongside parked cars and squeeze space for cyclists out.

Not closure but some kind of control of traffic access and speed would help this be an alternative to cycle other than the A6. It's dangerous at the moment as it's a fast moving rat run.

This road is currently closed and has been for a year without any obvious problems and is great. Used to be a rat run making it unpleasant for cycling and walking. Let's leave it closed permanently except for Peds/horses/cyclists.

Close Park Lane between Waitrose and London Road at least, maybe even between The Club and Waitrose too. For residents 20mph access only. Car park access via Bulkeley Road.

Narrow road and pavements; rat run; unecessary through traffic. Needs pedestrianising/severe traffic restrictions. with access outside main hours.
